Use Case: Classic deviled eggs with a smoky twist, ideal for parties and gatherings.
Description: Elevate your next party or gathering with Smoked Deviled Eggs. This classic appetizer gets a delicious upgrade with a hint of smoky flavor, making it a surefire hit with your guests.
Ingredients:
● 6 large eggs
● 3 tbsp mayonnaise
● 1 tsp Dijon mustard
● 1 tsp white vinegar
● Salt and pepper to taste
● Paprika, for garnish
● Wood chips (apple or cherry work well)
Instructions:
1. Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then cover and remove from heat. Let the eggs sit for 12 minutes. Drain and cool the eggs in ice water.
2. Peel and Halve: Peel the cooled eggs and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a small bowl.
3. Prepare the Filling: Mash the yolks with a fork. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
4. Fill the Egg Whites: Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
5. Add Smoke: Using your Bon Apperoo™ culinary smoker, add the desired wood chips (apple or cherry work well) and follow the instructions to infuse the deviled eggs with smoke for about 5 minutes. Ensure the smoke fully envelops the eggs for a rich, smoky flavor.
6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the smoked deviled eggs with paprika for a touch of color and flavor. Serve immediately for the best taste.
Pro Tip: For an extra layer of flavor, try adding finely chopped chives or crispy bacon bits to the yolk mixture before filling the egg whites.
